Systems Engineer (Provisioning and Core Engineering)

Basic Pre-Requisites
• Graduate of BSECE/BSCOE
• At least 2 years hands-on experience on Linux (Unix) network and server administration
• Knowledgeable in installation and configuration of Linux services
• Knowledgeable in TCP/IP, UDP, RTP flow, IPNAT, and NAT TRAVERSAL
• Knowledgeable in Voice Signaling Protocol (ISDN, SS7) and call routing, an advantage
• Knowledgeable in VoIP (SIP, MGCP) w/ at least basic knowledge in IP Trunking
• Knowledgeable on Asterisk or any related IP PBX, hands-on experience is desired.
• Knowledgeable w/ Cisco routers and gateways
• With skills in computer hardware and software troubleshooting
• Articulate in English and Filipino
• Motivated, fast-learner and willing to take on challenges
• Willing to work long hours, or during weekends, as needed
Job Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the maintenance of the whole softswitch platform
• Responsible for upgrade and application of patches to the softswitch
• Responsible for the interconnection of the platform to other telco/partner
• Responsible for the evaluation of various equipment needed in the operations of the softswitch, which includes routers, switches, CPEs and others.
• Acts as Tier 2 maintenance of the subscriber faults
• Responsible for the provisioning of enterprise subscribers
• Coordinates with the field installation team for the installation of subscribers, if needed
